Looking Ahead: We'll be 40 in '20!

Dear TGS Families and Friends-

We are delighted to share that plans are underway for the school’s 40th Anniversary Celebration, to be formally launched in August 2020. Earlier this month, a group of former trustees, faculty, alumni and alumni parents, together with current students, faculty and parents, gathered at the beautiful Arizona Inn for the express purpose of launching the 40th Anniversary planning. In addition to this formal Honorary Planning Committee, there will be multiple opportunities for everyone to become involved via other working committees: Alumni Engagement, Community Outreach and Engagement, Sponsorship, Special Events and Communication.

In particular, the Community Outreach and Engagement committee is charged with involving our current students and families in the year-long celebration. Alumnae and current parents, Claudine Messing and Kerry Adams-Davis are co-chairing this important committee. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you’re interested in becoming involved in their work — or that of any of the other anniversary committees. Your involvement is a great opportunity to become better acquainted with other families as well as an extensive network of Gregory School supporters throughout southern Arizona.

As we head into finals next week, we want to extend our deep appreciation for the role you’ve played in a wonderful first semester at TGS. Best wishes to everyone for a happy and healthy holiday season.

With gratitude,

Julie A. Sherrill, Ph.D.
Head of School

"The Gregory School is a place that is transforming learning and transforming students' lives. Gregory students lead institutions; they found movements; they invent technology; they run cities. Students leave TGS with a sense of agency; they believe they can change the world for the better and it is our aim to ensure we give them the knowledge, skills, experiences and confidence to do so."
