Tuition and Financial Assistance
The Gregory School believes economic diversity enriches the educational opportunity for all families and participation of a wide range of families is critical to the health of the school. Since opening our school in 1980, our founders envisioned not only a school that would stand in the tradition of the finest independent schools in the country, but more specifically and significantly, one that would be committed to educating all of Tucson's talented and aspiring youth.
A commitment to inclusion is an essential element of The Gregory School’s educational philosophy and school culture. Because our school is determined to make The Gregory School education accessible to families from a wide variety of economic backgrounds, we offer tuition assistance based on a family's financial need.
If tuition is a stretch for your family's income and resources, The Gregory School has a need-based financial assistance program that supports qualifying families with incomes from under $10,000 to over $100,000.
In addition, most families can use the state of Arizona's Individual Tax Credit Program to help them offset the cost of tuition. Two of our School Tuition Organization (STO) partners, Arizona Tuition Connection and Institute for Better Education, can help families learn how to use this program.

Payment Information and Fees
Enrollment Deposit and Fees
A non-refundable $500 new student fee and $1,500 tuition deposit must accompany your enrollment contract. The $1,500 tuition deposit will be credited to your total tuition bill.
Books
Textbooks are included in the tuition and will be provided to students at the start of school.
Lunch
A healthy, from-scratch lunch made on site daily is included in the tuition.
Laptops
Students are required to bring laptops to school every day. We consider technology to be one of the essential components in preparing our students for higher education and for life. Students will be required to take their computers to class each day unless a teacher directs them otherwise. Laptop requirements can be found on this page.
Additional Fees
In addition to tuition, the following list of fees is provided to inform parents of the range of expected additional expenses that may be incurred. Most fees are mandatory and non-refundable. Estimates are given for items that may vary according to student's programs. Some class-related fees may not be listed.

Approximate amount: $200-$700
Class-Related Fees
Certain classes such as photography, middle or upper school orchestra or band may require additional supplies, equipment, or transportation fees. Yearbooks are $55 in Middle School and $65 in Upper School.
Procedure
The financial assistance application is administered by the National Association of Independent Schools, School and Student Service (NAIS SSS). The Gregory School requires that the family file a Parent Financial Statement (PFS), which is the official application provided by SSS. Parents or legal guardians who are not married to each other must each independently complete the financial assistance application process. The PFS is available beginning in October and should be submitted online at the NAIS SSS website. The general financial assistance deadline is February 28.
In addition, we require a copy of your signed IRS 1040 tax return and all supporting schedules, plus W-2s and if applicable, partnership/sole proprietorship and or corporate returns, be uploaded or delivered to the admission office by February 28. All information related to the parents' financial circumstances will be treated confidentially and will only be used to make a determination of the financial assistance award. We cannot guarantee financial assistance funds will be available.
How to Apply
Our partner in the financial aid process is National Association of Independent Schools, School and Student Services (NAIS SSS). Please complete the following steps:

Complete your Parent Financial Statement (PFS) on the SSS website.

Upload all required documents into your SSS account. These documents are listed as part of the application. If you are unable to upload these documents you may bring physical copies to The Gregory School office.
- Pay required application fee to complete and submit your application.
Only completed applications will be considered and reviewed.
