Position Overview
The Front Gate Security Guard is a front-line employee who is responsible for managing the entrance of campus supporting arriving and departing students, faculty, and guests. Ideal candidates will have a background in safety and security, a background of using good judgment in complex situations, and the ability to support our Emergency Management Plan.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring security cameras for suspicious activities
  • Ensure vehicles entering the property are displaying the proper parking placard
    allowing them to access school property
  • Greeting visitors, ensuring that they are expected and if so and directing them to the
    administrative office to check in
  • Determining which individuals walking onto school property have authorized access
    to campus
  • Support unaccompanied students and visitors departing school property
  • Remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons attempting to access school
    property
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years security experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism and positive attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to handle varying outdoor weather
  • Ability to qualify for AZ Department of Public Safety clearance card
