Dear TGS Families:
One of the 6 C’s that faculty and staff intentionally integrate into our daily learning experiences is that of Community. Whether it's an advisory activity, basketball practice, AP English class or theater performance, they work to ensure that there is a sense of community among our students and each other as part of our mission and philosophy at The Gregory School.
In that vein, one of our TGS families is opening their home to all of us this Sunday afternoon with the full intention of building community and connections between parents, family members, trustees, faculty, and staff. We are very grateful to Brandt and Vicki Hazen for hosting this event and celebrating the relationships that make our school so unique.
Additionally, our US Student Council will be hosting a special BBQ in advance of next Thursday’s basketball games. The event is quite intentional---we want to encourage students and families to come out and enjoy each other’s company and show support of our amazing basketball program as fans in the stands! Please mark your calendar and join us for this special event.
And finally, Sarajane Trier spoke to our Family Association membership yesterday about the incredible value that tax credit donations bring to our school. Your donation to AISSF supports our student scholarship program, ensuring that we can foster a robust enrollment and provide learning opportunities to young people who might not otherwise be able to attend The Gregory School. Your participation in this program is another way that you can demonstrate your appreciation of being a part of this educational community.
We are grateful to everyone for your continued support and attention to the important work we do here. Thank you for being a part of our community. I look forward to seeing you at some of the upcoming events!
Julie A. Sherrill, Ph.D.
Head of School
The Gregory School is a place that is transforming learning and transforming students' lives. Gregory students lead institutions, they found movements, they invent technology, they run cities. Students leave TGS with a sense of agency; they believe they can change the world for the better and it is our aim to ensure we give them the knowledge, skills, experiences and confidence to do so.Dr. Julie Sherrill
