Lisa Scheff, ’87, left her job as a research attorney at the California Court of Appeals in 2012 to become the executive director of IMPACT Bay Area. IMPACT is a nonprofit organization that gives people of all ages, abilities, and genders confidence by teaching them evidence-based boundary setting and self-defense skills in a supportive environment. “I love seeing our students find their courage,” she said. In 2014, after 20 years together in San Francisco, Lisa and her wife decided to part ways. She now lives in Oakland and loves it!
